Once again this June, the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) is recognizing National Indigenous History Month. We are also celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day, which is recognized each year on June 21 because of the cultural significance of the summer solstice and the day with the longest period of daylight. These celebrations offer opportunities to recognize and learn about the cultural diversity and distinct contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.
