Dear Music Supporters,

The music room has been very busy preparing for the Spring Festival of the Arts. Over three hundred students have been enthusiastically attending rehearsals before, during and alter school for the past few months. We can hardly wait to share our musical talents. The details for our upcoming concert schedule are as follows:

Spring Festival of the Arts

7:00 p.m
(Doors open 6:25 p.m.)
Westheights gymnasium

Musicians are to arrive no later than 6:40 p.m. wearing the Tuxedo shirt and black bottoms. Look for signs in the front foyer outlining the warm up rooms for the various ensembles. There is no need for students to use any devices as groups warm up, so the expectation is that these items remain in a locker. The concert will conclude at approximately 8:30 p.m. The Tuxedo shirts are to be returned before students leave for the evening.

Students who have at least 80% attendance for the entire year are invited to participate in the Music Festival at Canada’s Wonderland. A separate information letter and permission form will be sent home closer to June 9/15. The cost of the excursion is $55.00 (includes $30.00 park entry fee) Students with a season’s pass will be asked to contribute $25 (X) towards busing costs. Several adult volunteers (complimentary tickets will be provided) will be needed on the bus and during the performance time.

Cash donations supporting our extra curricular music program (music, replacement stands and instruments) will gladly be accepted at the door. Your support of our music program as you drop off your child for early morning practices, listen to rehearsing at home and QR code videos, is appreciated. If you have any questions, please call the school at 519 744 3549.
