Every grade 8 class will be going down for the presentation over the 2 days with their homeroom teachers.

C.A.R.E. stands for Community Awareness and Response to Emergency – see attached flyer for more information.

In a nut shell, this is a great hands-on learning experience for student because they’re all given the opportunity to try CPR (each has their own mannequin) and observe how an AED (defib) is used and applied. Students also physically go over First Aid for choking. Other tools are used, such as: videos, PowerPoint and demos to increase student awareness of life saving techniques.
