Parents of Grade 8 Students,
WyWay (myway.wrdsb.ca) is up and running and students can now begin to select their courses for grade 9 (closing March 6th). In order to help you and your child make these selections online, you will need to cross reference the high schools Course Calendar to ensure the right course codes and classes are selected in the drop down menu.
Most of Westheights’ students will be attending our feeder high school, Forest Heights, please see the attached document for their course calendar. Students need to look at the list of Compulsory and Elective courses within this document to see what selections need to be made for grade 9 (select 8 courses in total: 5 compulsory [academic or applied] and 3 electives). I also encourage students to look at the Credit Requirements for their Secondary Diploma (within this document) when it comes to deciding which electives they would like to choose.
