Please note:
1. Students are to meet in their homerooms at 8:20 a.m. for attendance. You will then be called to the gym where you will receive your sticker indicating the time of the events. You will then board the bus to the stadium. You must go and return on the bus to which you are assigned.
2. Please come to school that day dressed in your phys. ed. clothes including appropriate shoes. It is a great idea to wear a sweatshirt and sweatpants over your phys.ed. clothes to keep you warm when you are not competing.
3. You may bring a lunch, or purchase it at the stadium (hot dogs, hamburgers, and snacks are available for purchase). Bring lots to drink! Eat at appropriate times based on when your events take place. Put your garbage in the containers provided!
4. When you are not competing you must be in the stands in your assigned area. Washrooms are located under the bleachers.
Seating Assignments:
Grade 8 – purple section near finish line
Grade 7 – gold section beside grade 8’s
5. Make sure you know when and where your events are- attendance is taken at each event. Remember that you are required to participate in these events as part of your phys. ed. mark.
6. Please stay away from the infield fence along the track. Only cross the track when a race is not in progress and only cross near the
finish line or near the 100m start.
7. Stretch (dynamic) before and cool down after all of your events.
8. Field events – ribbons given out at event Track events – runners stay in lanes until ribbons are presented – ribbons given out immediately following race If you don’t receive your ribbon at the meet, get it at school Friday.
9. If you have 2 events at the same time, go to field event & check in, then go run your track event and then go back and finish your field event.
10. Divisional Team will be posted by Friday.
