Dear Westheights Families,

It is with a mixture of emotions that I share our goodbyes with Trevor Gerard and share a warm welcome to Rob Dickson.

Trevor is currently our Vice Principal at Westheights. Trevor will be returning to his former role in the secondary panel, leaving Westheights for a role as Vice Principal with Preston High School in September. Trevor leads with his heart, always putting the needs of our staff and students first. His great love of organization and drive to innovate will be greatly missed. Trevor’s humour and ability to burst into song on a whim have kept spirits high and laughter steady. We wish you all the very best, Trevor.

I am also very excited to welcome our new Vice Principal, Rob Dickson. Rob is currently a Vice Principal with Jacob Hespeler Secondary School and is already a member of the broader Westheights community. We are excited to bring Rob’s expertise in the secondary panel into our school, as we prepare our Grade 7s and 8s for the expectations and realities of high school. Though I am just getting to know Rob, his own warmth and pride in joining Westheights radiates and I know he’ll be an awesome member of our team. Rob will be joining us officially on our June 28th PD Day.

As a community, please join me in congratulating Trevor on his move to Preston and welcoming our new Vice Principal, Rob Dickson.

Warm wishes to all!

Danielle Holden
