Dear Warrior Families,

I am so proud to announce that our own Ms. Janet Sunga is the Diamond Award winner of the Waterloo Region Record’s Music Instructor award. When Ms. Sunga’s name was put forward for the award, she was shocked and as always, very humble. She expressed to us that she was up against some of the very best music instructors in the community and had no expectations of winning. Yesterday, as our staff showered her with congratulations, Ms. Sunga’s modesty continues to shine through.

Janet’s goal is to remind our community that arts programming is essential for the growth of our learners. She is a strong advocate of the many gifted music teachers within the WRDSB and a steady reminder to all of us that the arts bring our community together.

Our warmest congratulations, Ms. Sunga. We could not be more proud of you. Thank you SO much to our Warrior families who voted in the Readers’ Choice poll. We are a stronger community together!
