Our Westheights Music program would like to extend an enormous gratitude for all the donations that have come in to help support our after-school Guitar Club led by Mr. Sargent, Mrs. Sunga and Laurier TEC, Ms Guillemette. We would like to recognize Dan Walsh and Guitars For Kids – Waterloo Region for donating 6 acoustic guitars and taking in 2 broken ones to be repaired without any cost to our school. Dan runs Guitars for Kids as a non-profit organization that collects and refurbishes used guitars and donates them to interested youth in Waterloo Region. They accept donations for all acoustic, electric and bass guitars, regardless of age, size or condition of the instrument.

The students in Guitar Club are enthusiastic to have a guitar to learn on. We couldn’t be more grateful for all the support we have received from some Warrior families who have helped donate guitars, new guitar strings and have also come after school to help change broken strings.

We have a remarkable school community and would like to thank everyone for supporting the magic of music and the profound influence of Arts education!
